Darren Medlock

Friday, April 17, 2015

On Sunday afternoon I got to take a trip up to the Medlock Farm to shoot some senior pictures.  It was a great location and as always the Medlocks were great to work with.  As we drove around the property we found several good spots along with a snake.  Needless to say we decided against using that rock for one of the photos. Ha  However there is another large rock close to the house that was perfect for what we wanted to do.  Here is a sneak peak at one of the many great photos from the afternoon.

Winter Wonderland

Friday, February 20, 2015

Who thinks that 22 degrees is too cold for a photo shoot?  Well not Chloe Rice!  We took advantage of the winter weather to get some senior pictures in.  It might have taken a little extra effort but we were able to get some beautiful snow pictures to begin her senior pictures.  The almost frozen creek was a great location along with a old barn that we have on our farm.   So glad that Chloe was willing to brave the temperatures and was a good sport about my some what crazy ideas.  Chloe is a senior at Walnut Ridge High School.  Here is a sneak peek with the barn I mention earlier!

Homecoming & Miss Arkansas Delta

Sunday, January 25, 2015

What a great weekend!  Friday was basketball homecoming for Walnut Ridge.  The afternoon started with the pep rally.  All of the court looked great!  Walnut Ridge does things a little different than most schools since they have a Sweetheart Royalty along with the normal Homecoming Court.  The Sweetheart Royalty is made of the guys and is chosen by the girls basketball team.  This years court was Hayden Andrews, Freshman Knight, Luke Harper, Sophomore Knight, Kyle Nunley, Junior Knight, Cash Lee, Senior Knight, Gabe Boucherie, Knight of Honor and Tyler Andrews, King.   The homecoming court was filled with beautiful girls in gorgeous dresses.  They all did a great job picking out their homecoming dresses that was a wide range of pretty colors.  The homecoming court was Olivia Cox, Freshman Maid, Baylee Burris, Sophomore Maid, Kelsey Gentry, Junior Maid, Chloe Rice, Senior Maid, Katalina Holbrook, Maid of Honor, and Allyson McQuay, Queen.  Allyson and Tyler chose their pages which were for Allyson, Cameron Lawrence and Reed Martin.  Tyler chose Roxy Shoe and Brice Bullard.

Miss Arkansas Delta
I spent Saturday shooting photos at Miss Arkansas Delta.  Miss Arkansas Delta is a prelim for the Miss Arkansas and Miss Arkansas Outstanding Teen Pageants.  The executive director Maegan Inzer did a great job putting the pageant together!  The day started with rehearsals followed by private interview.  It is always nice to meet the ladies competing and visit with them while they wait to go into their interviews.  The pageant was held at Nettleton High School and began at 6:30.  The ladies all did a great job.  Last year was the first year for this prelim to be held and was won by Jacey Winn and Mercedes Bell.  Jacey was very successful at the Miss Arkansas Pageant in which is won the over all interview award, alpha interview award, newcomer award and placed in the Top 10!  Mercedes also did a great job at the Miss Arkansas Outstanding Teen Pageant.  She was also in the Top 10 and won a genesis award!  Some local title holders who will be competing this summer also came to help out.  Miss River Delta Emma Jumper was the emcee for the evening, Miss River Delta Outstanding Teen Ellie Stafford danced for entertainment along with Miss Central Arkansas Amber Ward playing the piano for entertainment.   The evening ended with the crowning of the new queens.  Lacey Moore won the Miss Arkansas Outstanding Teen title and Elli Fowler won the Miss Arkansas Delta title.  I can't wait to see what the year holds for these young ladies.

Teel Twins

Friday, January 9, 2015

Yesterday afternoon I got to do a sweet session with the two newest members of the Teel Family.  Kane and Kullen came in for their newborn session.  It was a good afternoon shooting these two sweet babies.  I can't wait for their next session!  Here is a sneak peak at what we got!

The Looney Family

Friday, September 19, 2014

I have had the honor of taking photos of Rachel and Holly for many years.  Their photo shoots are always filled with lots of laughs and beautiful photos!  Holly contacted me about doing some surprise photos for her mom's birthday and I was so excited to help out.  Once again the photo shoot was filled with many laughs.  I want to wish Karen Looney a very happy birthday and I hope you loved the new photos of the girls!

This week at Creative Touch

Sunday, September 7, 2014

It might have been a short week but it was a busy and fun one! Between volleyball, football, and pageants the camera is ready for a short day of rest today.

Lady Bobcat Volleyball
The Lady Bobcats volleyball teams played a home game against Midland on Thursday.  All three teams collected wins!  That always puts Coach Berry in a better mood at the end of the night.  A few things that stand out from the evening was a 12 point serving streak from Briley Henson to win set one for the Jr High team.  The senior high team was without Emma Rice who went out with an ankle sprain early in the week but she should be back on the floor this coming week.  The senior high team played great together in a new rotation and won the match in 3 sets. The Lady Bobcats will be playing away at Pocahontas on Monday and at Midland on Tuesday.  The teams will be back at home on Thursday in a big conference match with CRA.

Bobcat Football
On Friday night I traveled to Corning to shoot the Walnut Ridge vs Corning game.  The WR Bobcats got their only touchdown on a run by Martin Crisler.  Tyler Binkley followed his run with running into the end zone for the 2 pt conversion.  The Bobcats will be at home this week and the Jr Bobcats will be on the road at Rector.

Sorta neat to have a photo I took on the back of my shirt all while taking photos on the sidelines.  (photo credits to Janna Berry)

Miss River Delta & Miss NEA
Saturday morning my mom and I headed to Blytheville for Miss River Delta and Miss NEA pageants.  The afternoon started with interviews at the Holiday Inn, which is always such a great host.  The pageant was held a Blytheville High School.  It is always great to see friends made through the pageant system and meet new ones.  With the crowning of new queens you have to always let go of the ones passing the crown on.  Miss River Delta Outstanding Teen Robin Galloway and Miss Northeast Arkansas Lacey Moore did a great job representing their titles this past year, and it was such a joy to spend time with these ladies throughout the year.  Miss Northeast Arkansas Bethany Bell was unable to be with us last night due to having started her masters degree at Boston University.  Miss River Delta Jennifer Ulloa was a great representative and all while spending part of her title year in Spain.  With the close of the pageant comes the crowning of new queens.  I am excited to spend time with these young ladies this next year and I know they will do a great job representing their titles!

The first two days of school have been filled with lots of fun with the volleyball girls!  Coach Janna Berry is always fun to work with since her and the girls are always willing to try some new things. These young ladies have been working hard all summer and are looking forward to the season. The Lady Bobcats will be playing their first home game next Tuesday the 26th against Newport.  Come out and support them!  They will also be playing a tough match against Harrisburg at home next Thursday the 28th!
